LUST, a pop duo from Kuala Lumpur formed by Azfar and Faris in 2015, is known for their boundary-pushing sounds. They debuted with the genre-blending EP Chingichanga in 2016, gaining attention in the local indie circuit. Their first album, Tekesima (2019), won Album of the Year at Tapau Fest and led to performances across Southeast Asia and South Korea (Zandari Festa), including Malaysia’s very own Good Vibes Festival.
In 2020, LUST explored a darker, grimier sound with electronic undertones in their Vantablack EP, accompanied by the short film SILIKA, made with Malaysian art house studio Krew Filem Sek Kito.
Their upcoming 2024 album, TUGU, continues this evolution, blending their indie rock edge with a more refined experimental pop, further solidifying LUST’s shift towards a more unpredictable and innovative sound.
