Ferry Dermawan is the Jakarta-based co-founder of Plainsong Live, one of the most prominent Indonesian concert promoters in recent years and a brand that has become synonymous with high-quality music events.

After rebranding as Plainsong Live, in late 2019 Dermawan revived Joyland Festival, a G Production-era program that he revamped into a refreshing, family-friendly event that features the cream of Indonesia’s most beloved artists and up-and-coming music talent, along with acclaimed global names such as Cornelius, Thundercat, Phoenix, M.I.A., Interpol, Bloc Party, Alvvays and more.

Since 2022, Joyland Festival has expanded even further with the event now being held in Bali during the first quarter of the year and in Jakarta before year’s end.

Besides Joyland, Dermawan and Plainsong Live have also organized memorable tour stop concerts for the likes of FKJ and Men I Trust, as well as a stunning showcase for Efek Rumah Kaca’s well-reviewed latest album Rimpang.

Plainsong Live is a Jakarta-based live music and entertainment company established by the founders of G Production, which previously operated music festivals and concerts since its inception in 2009.

Our mission is to provide high quality artists an extensive platform to showcase their creative expressions. Through our festivals and concerts, we are committed to presenting well-curated acts on our stages and creating memorable experiences for both artists and audiences alike.

We take pride in dancing to our own beat, dedicated to giving talented, and often less discovered, artists a louder voice.
