Ave Sophia Tölpt, currently serving her second term as the Director of Music Estonia, previously held the position of Executive Director at Jazz Estonia. She has also contributed to the field of music as a guest author and radio host at Estonian Public Broadcasting, including Klassikaraadio, as well as in other media outlets. She is the first Estonian Ambassador for Keychange and a Member of the Music Endowment Committee of Cultural Endowment Estonia. Additionally, since 2024, she has been honored to serve as the General Secretary on the board of EMEE, the European Music Exporters Exchange.

Music Estonia was founded in 2014 by 23 Estonian music companies. By now, it has evolved into a versatile competence center with over 100 members, providing services to the music sector, representing Estonian music companies internationally, creating and facilitating new contacts, developing cooperation opportunities between different sectors, participating in international projects, working groups, and organizations, initiating and conducting sector studies, organizing seminars and workshops, among other activities. Music Estonia has two branches, Music Estonia Live and Music Estonia Managers, and the organization is a member of four international networks: EMEE, IAMIC, Live DMA, and EMMA.

Music Estonia acts as a central representative and development organisation in the field of music, effectively standing for the interests of music entrepreneurs and amplifying their activities both locally and internationally. The main activities of ME include development and mentoring programmes; delegations to European music industry conferences and showcase festivals; organising seminars, workshops and networking events; collaborating closely with Tallinn Music Week showcase festival and conference on conference themes, networking formats and delegate programme; representing the music sector SMEs in relations with public sector institutions (including close collaboration with Estonian Ministry of Culture), influencing relevant policy on a regional and national level, participating in European and international associations, networks, working groups (EMEE, IAMIC); partnering in international collaboration projects, including Creative Europe projects. Through its Live branch, Music Estonia is also a member of Live DMA and through its Managers branch member of EMMA.
