Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, Imam has been active in the music industry for more than 17 years ever since he co-founded anthemic contemporary pop band lightcraft in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Imam is responsible for the band’s distinctive music and their international endeavours, which has led them to perform at various international music festivals and embark on tours across 15 countries, including appearances at Liverpool Sound City 2016, SXSW 2017, V-Rox 2017, Monsoon Music Festival 2019, and many others.
Due to his involvement with lightcraft, Imam has been invited to speak about his experience in performing abroad and the music industry in general at several music conferences, most notably at Archipelago Festival, Ideafest and Trans Asia Music Meeting, among others.
Outside of lightcraft, Imam worked in the media industry before leaving in 2016, his last full-time position being the managing editor for an English-language lifestyle magazine. He is currently the PR associate for 360° music development agency 12WIRED, where he connects, liaises, and maintains relationships with local and international media as well as music PR agencies, concocts PR campaigns, and writes up press releases and newsletters for 12WIRED’s artists and clients.
On the side, Imam is also an experienced freelance editor, writer, proofreader, and translator.

Jakarta-based Indonesian contemporary pop band lightcraft was formed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where they met while studying at the same university in 2006. The quartet have a unique arena-ready sound that is at once uplifting, energetic, and melancholic, and are renowned for having made a lasting mark on the international stage, where they have performed at some of the most prestigious music festivals and live venues across 15 countries.
lightcraft have released two EPs and four full-length albums, with their latest being “Hope + Love”. Unleashed in July 2022, it features the singles “Permanence”, “Don’t Fight This Feeling”, “Dream Dancer”, “Feathers”, “Forever”, and “Life”.
12WIRED is 360° music company comprising some of the most experienced people in the music industry with a strong passion for music, extensive experience both locally and internationally, and strong positions in the business.

With that in mind, we are very open to discussions with bands and artists who have a keen interest in creating a buzz about themselves in the Indonesian music market through various media publications.
