Born in Seoul and raised in Seattle, Howon has been involved in music scene for the last 20 years. As a co-founder/vice president of EMA, a label, management and publishing services company, he represents Korea’s most prominent artists such as george, Glen Check, Meaningful Stone and many more.

He is also a festival director at the Busan International Rock Festival since 2019, curating international artists and help building festival network throughout Asia.

Busan Rock Festival, inaugurated in 2000, is an outdoor music festival that takes place every summer in Busan. It is one of South Korea’s longest running modern music festivals. The lineups include acts of various genres such as rock, metal, indie.

EMA is a new music company, based in Seoul aiming to break traditional industry frameworks by providing customized, modular services to artists and creators and developing careers.
