Clarence has worn several hats in the music industry since 2007. As Head of Music at Esplanade Theatre, he was a concert presenter, festival director, arts manager. As a music entrepreneur since 2015, he loves working with like-minded and good-hearted people passionate about music, and is a co-founder of music education collective – The Music Circle, and music services company – Umami Sounds. Clarence is a co-founder of the web3 art collective – The Great Wave DAO, and aims to demystify the world of crypto through education and open discourse.
The Great Wave DAO
The Great Wave DAO (TGW) is a community of artists and creators that builds direct connections with fans. TGW aims to connect artists directly to fans who are invested in them and crowdsource funding for them in exchange for equity in the artistic work. We are looking to give power to creators to connect with and monetise their connection to audiences that are invested in their unique sound. We believe artists should be given equity in a platform for their work, thus incentivising them to collaborate and help grow an ecosystem they have ownership of.
