Inspired by the Japanese term, “kire-ina”, which easily translates to beautiful, KRNA aims to produce original songs, renditions, live performances and aesthetically remarkable music videos that coincide with this meaning. This Dream Pop outfit based in Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines is made up of longtime music-scene friends KC Salazar (vocals), Francis Ramos (keyboards/Synth) and Janro Abian (Drums); with the addition of Andrei Castro (Guitar) and Al Gabriel (Bass Guitar) just in 2022. The River Gold EP released in 2018 is a milestone of their combined talents, receiving praise from The Flying Lugaw review for their “breezy production choices, inspiring instrumentals, and powerful vocal performances.” and CNN Lifestyle PH as “a truly beautiful, expansive, and sustained dream of five songs that you just wish wouldn’t end”.

In addition to being music scene stalwarts in their hometown, KRNA members are also actively building their city’s small music scene “from the ground up” by producing diy shows and songwriting camps, encouraging younger musicians in the city to experiment with their music.
