Bayangan (Fikri Fadzil) first emerged in the Malaysian music scene in 2016, gaining critical acclaim for his debut single, “Kuala Lumpur”, receiving exemplary reviews from prominent Malaysian publications.
Bayangan then spent the next couple of years writing, producing, and recording his debut album, “Bersendirian berhad”. Released in April 2018, the arrival of his debut showcases Bayangan’s sparse yet intense brand of folk music. The instrumentation on each track are minimal, creating dreamy soundscapes to compliment his soothing vocal delivery, reverberating throughout the entire record.

Achievements
- “Bersendirian berhad” was well received and was named ‘Best Malaysian album of the year’ in 2018 by Malaysian publications such as The Daily Seni, The Level, and international music publication Bee Hype. The release of his debut 9-track album also saw Bayangan embark on a solo tour across Malaysia, Singapore, and Indonesia.
